How Do I Make Granola Bars?

Here is how you make Granola Bars:

Stir together first six ingredients, the oatmeal and brown sugar are a must, but the other ingredients can be substituted as you please. In a seperate bowl mix the oil, corn syrup (or honey) cinnamon and vanilla (or almond extract). Stir this into the oat mixture until nicely coated, then press into an 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Once removed from the oven, press with flat spatula or back of spoon, while still warm cut into 12 bars. You will want to cut at a stage where it isn't too hot to touch, but warm enough that they don't crumble on you. I like to store mine in the pantry to keep them soft, but the fridge is fine too.Number of Servings: 12Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user ERINMARIETOEWS.
