8 serving Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain (1/2 cup dry)
1 cup Ancient Harvest Traditional Whole Grain Quinoa, 1 serving =.25 cup dry
1 cup Honey
1 dash Salt
1 tbsp Coconut Oil Organic - Spectrum Naturals
4 tbsp Cinnamon, ground


How Do I Make Heart Healthy Granola?

Here is how you make Heart Healthy Granola:

PREPARATION: Cook Quinoa according to package, remove from pot and spread on a baking sheet to cool. In a large bowl measure out your Oatmeal add cinnamon. Once the Quinoa is cooled (about 20 minutes) add to the Oatmeal + Cinnamon mixture. Heat the honey + coconut oil in a small pan on the stove top, do not boil add salt and stir, pour immediately over the oatmeal and mix well to combine. Preheat oven to 325 degreesRub your sheet pan with coconut oil, return the Oatmeal Quinoa mixture to the sheet pan, and bake until a light golden brown (about 30 minutes) stir 1/2 way through the baking. Remove from the oven and cool completely (this is an important step) once cool and dry add in your dried fruit and any of the optional variations you would like. Seal in ball jars and enjoy with Almond or Coconut Milk over Greek Yogurt in Salads or on it?s own. Chef Notes: Granola will stay fresh for up to 8 weeks in an airtight container or jar.
