Here is how you make Date Loaf:

1. Preheat oven to 180deg Celsius2. Prepare a loaf pan (I use silicon paper so I don't need extra butter)3. Soak dates in boiling water4. Cream butter and sugar5. Beat egg and add slowly to butter and sugar, beating well.6. Add soda to date mixture ten stir into creamed mixture7. Stir in sifted flours until well mixed.8.
