75gms butter
1 - 11/2 cups Calcitrim milk (approx)

How Do I Make Scones?

Here is how you make Scones:

1) Sift flour, baking powder & salt into a bowl.2) Cut butter in until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.3) Add milk and mix quickly into a soft doug.Gently knead a few times.4) Lightly dust an over tray with flour. Press scone dough onto this.5) Cut into 12 pieces dipping knife into some flour as you go OR use a circular scone cutter.6) Leave a 2cm space between scones. Brush tops with a little milk (or spray with olive oil).7) Bake at 200C for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.Date scones:Add 3/4 cup chopped dates, 1 tbsp of sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the flour.Prior to baking, sprinkle scones with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.Sultana scones:Add 3/4 to 1 cup of sultanas to flour.Glaze tops with milk or little spray of olive oil.(Obviously adds extra to the Nutritional panel for these last two).Number of Servings: 12Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user BEYONDTHEBEACH.
