The ingredients for Beef Borscht are:

1 package beef stew meat (or chicken)
Water or Beef stock (or chicken)
3 Carrots (sliced thin)
2 bunches of beets (diced or shredded)
1 onion, sliced thin
4 boiling potatoes, diced
2 cans diced tomatoes
Handful of fresh dill, chopped
Easy shake of ground allspice
Salt and pepper to taste
Couple drops of hot sauce
1/2 head of cabbage
Beef stock if needed to thin out your borscht (or chicken)


How Do I Make Beef Borscht?

Here is how you make Beef Borscht:

Put meat into stew pot and generously cover with water. Boil for approximately 1 hour. When meat is done, remove from pot and de-bone and cut into bite sized pieces. Return to pot. Add all vegetables and spices (everything except sour cream and cabbage). Simmer for approximately 2 hours or more (the longer the better). Because cabbage cooks very quickly, don't add it until about 1/2 hour before the borscht is done. The more potato added the redder the borscht will be. The potatoes absorb the color from the beets.
