2- 11oz cans corn kernels (keep liquid)
2 tsp salt
1/2 qt non-fat milk
1/2 qt heavy cream
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1/4 cup corn starch for thickening (or less)
1/4 tsp Paprika

1. In a sauce pan over medium heat saute salt pork till brown and crispy. Remove and set aside. 2. To same saucepan add onion and green pepper, saute till onion is translucent.3. Add 2 cups boiling water and potatos to mixture, cover and simmer til potatos are tender, about 20 minutes.4. Add remaining ingredients (except pork bits) to pan, stir.5. Heat to just before boiling, remove from heat. Ladle soup into bowls and top with salt pork bits.*Can use bacon instead of salt pork, add a little to the soup and save some for topping.
