12 C Vegetable Stock
2 C. Water
3/4 C. Onion, chopped & (1 small-med onion)
2 tsp. salt
1 (14.5 oz.)can tomatoes, diced
1 1/2tsp dried oregano, crushed
1 tsp ground dried thyme
1/8 tsp pepper
1 C carrots
3/4 C celery
1 c sliced mushrooms
1 c frozen broccoli florets
1 1/2 C long grain brown rice
3/4 C. onion




How Do I Make Turkey Frame and Rice Stew?

Here is how you make Turkey Frame and Rice Stew:

Break turkey frame & put in large pot/dutch oven with stock/water, one small onion & salt. Bring to boil, reduce heat. Cover & simmer 1 1/2 hours. Remove turkey frame, when cool cut-off meat and chop. Discard bones. Strain broth, discard solids. Return broth to pot/dutch oven. Stir-in cut up turkey, undrained can of tomatoes, oregano, thyme & pepper. Stir in vegetables & rice. Bring to boil, then reduce heat & simmer 50 minutes or til rice is done.
