What Are The Ingredients For Grandma Hastey's Hot Rolls Recipe?The ingredients for Grandma Hastey's Hot Rolls are: 1 stick butter or margarine I prefer butter for Thanksgiving.1 cup milk 2 tsp salt 2 pkg yeast 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup lukewarm to the touch water 4 beaten eggs 6 cups flour How Do I Make Grandma Hastey's Hot Rolls?Here is how you make Grandma Hastey's Hot Rolls: Scald milk in a pan, add margarine/butter to melt. Pour into a larger bowl. Add sugar, salt and stir to dissolve.Dissolve yeast in warm water in a small bowl and let stand to proof while milk mixture is cooling.Beat 4 eggs in a separate bowl. After other mix is cooled to room temp add all together. Gradually add flour to mix until you can pour it out on the table. Knead a few minutes until springy. Place in a greased bowl and set it in the oven (turned off) covered with a tea towel to rise. After doubled in size (about an hour and 25-30 min) punch it down, shape into rolls, Put them in your favorite greased or Pam'ed pan (mine is an iron skillet or dutch oven) let rise again 45 min. Bake @ 350 degrees till light brown.
