I also add a dab of vanilla to give it an extra splash of flavor! stir in crock pot and set on high. Cook for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. When apples and pears are mushy, it is finished cooking. Now you can either mash it all together, leave it as is, or put it in the blender to make it REAL applesauce! Serve hot or cold! Makes about 10-12 1/2 cup servings.
