Here is how you make X-Black Bean and Mushroom Jalapeno Burgers:

Makes 18 small servings (about 113 calories apiece)Cook the onions in a pan until golden.Add the garlic, cumin, and jalapeno. Cook for about a minute.Add the mushrooms. Cook until they release their juices.Pour into a food processor or large bowl (if you're using a hand-blender).Add 1 can of beans and blend until semi-smoothAdd the rest of the beans and blend lightly.Add the bread crumbs and flour, and mix.Add the egg and olive oil and mix.The way I cooked them was to use an ice-cream scoop to measure each burger into a pan (1 scoop per burger), then shape them into a patty in the pan. Shaping can also be done before cooking, and they can be grilled. If you do it in a pan, cook until the outside is dark and crispy, flipping once when the top side stops looking shiny. Burgers may be slightly crumbly while warm. I like to put them on a plate, let them cool and solidify, then freeze them and broil them as I use them.
