Here is how you make Slow Cooker Black Beans:

Soak black beans in a pot of water for about an hour. While they soak, chop onion and saute in olive oil. Set aside. Peel and chop garlic. Rinse beans, refill pot with water and boil them for about 10 minutes. Drain the water. Put beans, onions, garlic, olive oil, and six cups water in slow cooker. Cook on low 8 hours or so.
