Wash vegs. Cut broccoli into bite size florets. Dice tomatoes and pepper. Finely dice onion.Put up water to boil pasta, salt if you like to do that. (I don't.)While water comes to boil, heat olive oil in large pan. Toss in onions to saute. When limp, add broccoli to cook. Stir, and let saute/steam (can add 1 Tbsp water to help steam brocccoli).Water should be boiling - add pasta and cook to al dente, still rather hard in center. Add red pepper and chick peas to vegs. Stir, let saute a moment.Drain pasta, retain about 1 cup pasta water.Add diced tomatoes to vegs. Stir. Put about 1/4 cup pasta water back into pasta pot. Add 1/3 of the pasta. Add 1/2 the veg mixture. Add 1/3 more pasta. Add the rest of the vegs. Add the rest of the pasta. Stir gently. If needed, can put back on the stove to heat up. You can stir in the shredded cheese now.
