8 oz Almonds (whole, raw, Kirkland brand)
2.10 gram Morton's Iodized Salt, 45% Iodine (Grams in 1/4 tsp, 1/2/17)

How Do I Make Vegan Seitan Chicken?

Here is how you make Vegan Seitan Chicken:

1. In large bowl, whisk together Vital Wheat Gluten, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and chicken seasoning. Set aside when thoroughly mixed.2. Add 1 cup almonds, flaxseed and water to blender and blend until smooth.3. To blended mixture above add non-chick'n bouillon cubes, vegan Worcestershire sauce. Blend together until smooth.4. Pour blended mixture into the vital wheat gluten mix and mix together until it forms ball.5. On a clean, flat surface, kneed the mixture for about 1 minute. It should be stretchy and still moist. 6. Flatten the dough with your hands and press it out until it is about 1/2 inch thick (thinner if you like). The dough tends to spring back but continue to press it out.7. Once flattened, cut the dough into the a cutlet or breast shape. (You can make them as small or large as you like.)8. Once cut, put each cutlet in a tinfoil wrap and put into a steamer. Steam for 23-25 minutes. 9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to develop a better texture.10. Once chilled you can marinade, grill, fry, etc as needed.Serving Size:?6 servings
