1 c. grape tomatoes, halved (or whatever kind of tomatoes you prefer)
1/2 c. chopped onion
One 6 oz. can tomato paste
6 oz. (one can) water
1 c. kidney beans (or your preference)

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1 c. skim milk

Garlic powder, chili powder and salt and pepper to taste.


How Do I Make Creamy Vegetarian Chili?

Here is how you make Creamy Vegetarian Chili:

Saute tomatoes and onions about 5 min. or until onions are tender. Add tomato paste + one can water and beans. Stir to combine. Simmer until heated through, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally. In a seperate pan, melt butter. Add flour to melted butter and cook about 2 minutes. This should make a paste. Add milk slowly, stirring well. When all milk is added, heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil on medium-high heat until sauce begins to thicken, about 5 minutes.
