Here is how you make Creamy Lemon Fettuccini:

Put water on to boil and when it comes to boil, salt generously. Add pasta, give it a good stir and set timer for 7 minutes as soon as it returns to boil (pasta may take up to 9 depending on how el dente you like it).Start sauce: Whisk together egg yolks, cream, Parmesan, zest of lemon and juice of half, some salt and a nice (but fine) grind of pepper. Just whisk to combine till it's nice primrose yellow not till it's frothy. Taste to see if you want more of the lemon juice.Taste pasta when timer goes off and if cooked to your liking, remove a cup of the cooking liquid and drain the pasta, tossing it back into the pot. Add the butter and gently swirl through to coat all of the pasta as it melts. It won't be buttery so much as just barely coated (although you can add more if you like, just adjust the calorie count).Stir in most of the egg mixture and toss the pasta well in it. If you think it's a little dry once you've incorporated all of the sauce, add a couple of tablespoons of the pasta water.
