What Are The Ingredients For FRIED SPICED TEMPEH Recipe?The ingredients for FRIED SPICED TEMPEH are: 9 oz (250g) package Organic Tempeh1-1/2 Tablespoons Oranic Canola Oil 4 Organic Shallots, washed and finely sliced 1 Tablespoon Organic Tomato Paste 1 Tablespoon Organic Light Soy Sauce 1 Tablespoon Organic Agave Syrup (sugar may substitute) 1/2 Teaspoon Organic Dried Red Pepper/Chili Flakes 2 Tablespoons Organic Lime Juice How Do I Make FRIED SPICED TEMPEH?Here is how you make FRIED SPICED TEMPEH: SERVES 4Heat 1/2 Teaspoon of the Canola Oil in a iron skillet or non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Saute the shallot slices and turn down the heat to medium low, cooking the shallots until browned.While shallots are cooking, prepare in a mixing or serving bowl the spicy sauce for the tempeh. Mix together the tomato paste, soy sauce, agave or sugar, dried red pepper flakes and lime juice. Mix well, set aside.Slice the tempeh out if its package onto a cutting board. Cut the tempeh into six rectable sections along the length of it. Then turning each section onto it's cut-flat edge, cut the tempeh again into 2 or 3 flat rectangles.When the shallots are browned, transfer them to the spicy sauce bowl. Using the same frying pan, add 1 Tablespoon Canola Oil and spread out with spatula. Place each piece of tempeh onto the oil in the pan and turn over each piece to coat the other side with some of the oil. Fry the tempeh in the oil for about 3 to 4 minutes each side, or until browned and crispy. Add to the spicy sauce shallot mixture bowl, and toss.
