Yeast, bakers, 1 ounce
Canola Oil, 1 tbsp (I usually use olive oil)
Salt, 1 tsp


How Do I Make Homemade Baguettes?

Here is how you make Homemade Baguettes:

In the bread maker, put 1 1/2 C warm water in the bottom, add the oil. Pour the flour on top, make a well, put the yeast into that well and start -- dough setting. When it's done (usually an hour and half) take it out, preheat the oven to 400. Roll the dough into a ball, cut in two. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Roll each piece into a rectangle, roll up with seam on the bottom, pinching the ends together. Place on a cookie sheet that's been sprayed and sprinkled with corn meal. Cut the tops with 3 or 4 slits and let sit for another 10 minutes, covered. Cook in oven for 12 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
