What Are The Ingredients For CHICK PEA HOT POT Recipe?The ingredients for CHICK PEA HOT POT are: 1 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp each: cumin, coriander, paprika, fresh ground black pepper 1 c. chopped onions 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms (any kind, can be mixed) 2 cups cauliflower pieces 1 pkg cabbage for coleslaw (or 6 cups shredded cabbage) 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/8 tsp hot pepper flakes (or to taste) 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup pearl barley, cooked 4 1/2 c. chicken (or veggie) broth 1/2 c. orange juice 1 can (15 oz) garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained How Do I Make CHICK PEA HOT POT?Here is how you make CHICK PEA HOT POT: Warm oil in bottom of large pot (large enough to hold all the ingredients). Add onions and mushrooms, and cook till soft. Chop cauliflower into small trees, and add to pot, along with a package of coleslaw mix ( I called it cabbage in the ingredients - too hard to find otherwise), and the garlic, crushed and chopped. Cook and stir till nicely browned, and add salt, pepper, coriander, cumin, hot pepper flakes (couldn't find that, either) to taste, and paprika till fragrant. Add the barley, broth, and orange juice, and drained can of chick peas (15 oz. can - couldn't find that) and cook about 45 minutes, till barley is tender. Makes a huge amount. I call 1 cup a serving, but I could be wrong.
