1. Microwave the chickpeas in their juice along with the garlic cloves, for 7 or 8 minutes on high. This softens the outside skin of the chickpeas and mellows the rawness of the garlic. 2. Let the chickpeas cool down a bit. Drain off and reserve about half of the juice. Pour the chickpeas and garlic with the remaining juice into a food processor or blender.3. Add the rest of the ingredients and pur?e until you have your desired consistency.
