The ingredients for Hummus with Tahini are:

1 15-oz. can of Libby's Organic Garbanzo Beans, drained (RESERVE LIQUID)
1 T. tahini sesame paste
1 T. olive oil
Juice of half to 1 lemon (start with half and add more, as desired, to taste)
1/8-1/4 c. of reserved liquid from beans
1 medium clove of garlic, very finely minced


How Do I Make Hummus with Tahini?

Here is how you make Hummus with Tahini:

Add drained beans, tahini paste, olive oil, lemon juice, and small amount of reserved liquid from the beans into blender or food processor. Process to a smooth consistency, adding slightly more liquid if needed, to achieve desired texture. Mince garlic by hand, using a sharp knife, not a press, and add to mixture AFTER processing. (This is important because if the garlic is overprocessed, it will turn extremely pungent and unpleasant.)If you wish to add more protein, you can supplement by blending in half of a small block of soft tofu (which doesn't noticeably change the taste).
