1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup raisins

Here is how you make Butter-Free Whole Wheat Oatmeal Muffins:

Preheat the oven to 400F/200C.Combine the milk, oats, 1 tsp each of cinnamon and granulated sugar, and vanilla in a bowl and set aside to soak for a few minutes.In one bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, brown sugar, baking soda and powder, salt, and raisins). Add the applesauce, mashed banana, and egg whites to the milk/oat mixture and mix thoroughly until smooth.Add the dry ingredients to the wet and blend. Do not stir too long, as it will make the muffins tough. Fill the cups of a greased muffin pan approximately 3/4 full and put in the preheated oven.
