What Are The Ingredients For Oatmeal Sundae Recipe?The ingredients for Oatmeal Sundae are: 1 C dry steel cut oats10 dates, pitted and chopped 5 T PB2 (or 3 T or so of peanut butter, but that will add calories and fat) 6 T ground flax meal 3 t vanilla extract 1 T ground cinnamon (use for oats and yogurt topping) 2 oz Greek yogurt (nutrition value reflects using 0%) 1/2 T honey 1 T unsweentened, reduced fat coconut 2 medium bananas 1/2 (or so) of crushed raw almonds How Do I Make Oatmeal Sundae?Here is how you make Oatmeal Sundae: Soak oats overnight in twice the volume of water and a squeeze of lemon juice (about 1 small lemon).Drain and rinse, then add back in about twice the volume of water (may need to add more while cooking).Add cinnamon, vanilla (save some of both for yogurt topping), and chopped dates.Simmer until done (about 30 minutes or so).In the meantime, mix yogurt with honey, vanilla and cinnamon.When the oats are done, mix in PB2 and flax (note: flax will thicken up the oats, so keep this in mind as you are adding water while they are cooking). If you're not eating all the oats right away, don't add the PB2/flax to the portion you're saving.
