What Are The Ingredients For Chard and Onion Omelet Recipe?The ingredients for Chard and Onion Omelet are: 3 tbsp olive oil1 large red or white onion, quartered and thinly sliced 1 bunch swiss chard (may substitue other dark leafy veg. eg. kale), leaves only, chopped salt and pepper 1 garlic clove 8 eggs lightly beaten 2 tbsp chopped parsley 2 tbsp chopped basil 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese 2 tbsp Parmesean cheese How Do I Make Chard and Onion Omelet?Here is how you make Chard and Onion Omelet: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in 10 inch skillet and add the onion, cooking slowly over low heat, stirring occasionally until completely soft but not colored, about 15 minutes. Add the chard and continue cooking until all the moisture has cooked off and the chard is tender, about 15 minutes. Season well with salt and peper.Meanwhile, mash garlic in a mortar (or use garlic press) and mix with a few pinches of salt, then stir into the eggs along with the herbs.
