What Are The Ingredients For Pasta alla "Not-ka" Recipe?The ingredients for Pasta alla "Not-ka" are: 2 tsp olive oil3 cloves garlic 1/2 cup red onion 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes, no salt added, pureed Pinch red pepper flakes 8 oz penne, whole wheat 1/4 cup whipping cream,(NOT heavy whipping cream) 6 TBSP evaporated non fat milk 1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil 1/8 tsp black pepper How Do I Make Pasta alla "Not-ka"?Here is how you make Pasta alla "Not-ka": Bring a large pot of water to a boil for penne. In a large saucepan, heat the 2 tsp olive oil with the garlic over low heat until the garlic begins to brown, about 3 min. Add the onion and cover and cook until the onion is softened, about 2 more min. Add the tomato and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat and simmer very gently 10 min. Stir in the cream, and evaporated milk simmer 1 more min. Meanwhile, after the sauce has cooked 5 min, add the penne to the boiling water and cook until just shy of al dente, about 6 min. Drain and reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water. Add the drained penne to the saucepan and simmer until the penne is al dente, 1-2 min. addling a little of the pasta cooking water if the mixture is dry. Stir in 1/4 cup of the Parmesan, the basil and black pepper. To serve, drizzle each serving with a 1/2 tsp olive oil (if desired, not in the nutrional value), and divide and sprinkle remaining parmesan cheese into each bowl.
