1/4 pound of whole wheat pasta
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
2 celery finely chopped
2 carrots finely chopped
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
5 - 6 Tablespoons of Marinara sauce
1 Head of cabbage finely chopped ( I like Napa)
2 cups of snow peas (optional)


How Do I Make Rustic Pasta?

Here is how you make Rustic Pasta:

Bring a large pot of water to boil for the pasta. Salt the water and add the pasta. Cook until al dente. Drain. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the onions and carrots and cook for 7 minutes until softened, then add the garlic and saute for 3 minutes longer until the onions are transparent and turning golden. Add the celery to the skillet and saute 3 - 4 minutes. Stir in soy sauce, salt, and garlic powder, add the cabbage, saute for 4 more minutes. Reduce the heat and simmer and cook for 5 minutes longer or until cabbage is cooked down. Add the pasta to the skillet with the marinara sauce and toss together.
