First bake acorn squash for 1-2 hours after slicing in half (do ahead and let cool for 2-4 or longer)30 minutes before serving time:carmelize onions and bacon in med heat panwhile browning, heat water for pastaNow use 1/2 a pat of butter on onions and bacon and slowly add squash to pan, once you fold onions in and get a nice sear on the squash mixture add red of butter and then add zuchini straws, fold in as well and then cover for few minutes until zuchini is slightly wilted.
