What Are The Ingredients For Baba's Pizza Recipe?The ingredients for Baba's Pizza are: 1 1/2 cups warm water2 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. yeast 2 2/3 bread flour (16 oz) 1/2 cup semolina flour (3.5 oz) 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Olive oil 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce ( I use Ragu Traditional) 16 oz. mozzarella cheese (I use part-skim), shredded Garlic, oregano, parsley, basil as desired Small amount of extra flour for dusting How Do I Make Baba's Pizza?Here is how you make Baba's Pizza: In food processor with plastic blade, pour in warm water, add yeast and sugar, stir together and let sit for a few minutes (at least 5).Add bread flour, semolina and salt to food processor. Pulse until all ingredients begin to get incorporated. Then turn on for about 20-25 seconds until a ball begins to form.In a large bowl, pour in some olive oil. Remove the dough from the food processor, (it may help to put a small amount of flour on your hands) lightly smooth the dough into a ball shape, then roll in the olive oil to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest in a warmer location for about an hour.When ready to use dough, prepare 2 sheets of parchment paper sprinkled lightly with extra flour. Separate the dough into 2 balls, flatten and make into any shapes you like. I like mine fairly thin so it makes rounds of about 14-16 inches. Keep the outside edges a little thicker and raised.Then add 3-4 tablespoons of sauce, followed by cheese. We don't use all of the cheese between both pies. Add your choice of garlic, oregano, basil and parsley or any other toppings (calorie count not included for additional toppings)Preheat oven to 525 degrees. I start the oven about 1/2 hour ahead of time, with a baking stone in the oven. Slide your pizza on the parchment paper onto the stone. If you don't have a stone, the back of a flat cookie sheet will work. Bake for 5-8 minutes or to your preference of done ness.
