Sautee until soft.Add beans, onion powder, salt, pepper and hot sauce. (I add far more hot sauce and onion powder then recipe calls for as I like it hot.) Stir well.Reduce heat to low and let simmer. Stir occasionally.In a medium sauce pan, bring vegetable broth to a boil. Add rice and Country Crock (or other margarine). Bring back to boil.Lower heat on rice, cover and let simmer up to 20 minutes. Remove from heat, fluff, and let stand 5 minutes.Add rice to bean mixture. Stir well to combine and serve.(This is the vegetarian version.
