What Are The Ingredients For My Saag Base Recipe?The ingredients for My Saag Base are: 2 (16 oz ea) bags frozen spinach, thawed1.5 tbsp oil 2 onions 1 green chili, washed & cut open 2 tbsp each minced garlic and ginger 4 tomatoes, chopped 2 tbsp garam masala 2 tsp curry powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric salt to taste 3/4 cup milk 2 tbsp butter How Do I Make My Saag Base?Here is how you make My Saag Base: Heat spinach until thawed, or thaw ahead of time in fridge. Heat oil in large pan, add onion, chili, ginger and garlic. Cook until onion begins to brown. Add tomatoes, garam masala, curry powder, turmeric, and coriander powder, and about 1/2 cup or so of water to cook the tomatoes, about 10 minutes. Then add spinach and 3 cups of water, one at a time, each about 6-7 minutes apart, as spinach cooks. Then add milk , mix well and cook for 6-7 minutes more. Let cool, then blend in batches or process with immersion blender. Add butter, let it melt and mix it in.
