Wash beets and cut off greens. Place beets on a large sheet of tinfoil and spray or drizzle with oil if desired. Close beets into tinfoil packet and place on baking sheet. Bake, 1 hour, or until beets are soft when pierced. Open packet and allow beets to cool.
