Garam Masala 1 1/2 tsp. pure chili powder 1/2 tsp. cayenne (optional) 1/4 C. ground almonds For the Cashew Cream: 1/2 C. raw unsalted cashews, preferably organic 1 Tbs. Maple Syrup How Do I Make Vegan Masala Sauce?Here is how you make Vegan Masala Sauce: For the cashew cream:Soak 1/2 C. (60g) cashews in water overnight. Rinse and puree in blender along with 1 Tbs. maple syrup, adding enough water to make 1 cup. For the sauce:Sauté onions, garlic and ginger in hot oil until fragrant and transparent, about 8 minutes. Add garam masala, chili powder and cayenne and sauté an additional two minutes.
