I love making vegan sausages but many have a lot of sodium. As I am dealing with high blood pressure, I've created this version to reduce sodium. People who don't have sodium issues can use 2 teaspoons of regular soy sauce and veggie broth. As it is posted here, it's safe for HBP folks but kind of bland for others. Salt shaker may come in handy for the others.

1 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
1 tsp Oregano

Here is how you make Vegan Sausage:

Put a steamer pot on to boil - the recipe comes together quickly. Mash the beans, then add in garlic, soy sauce, oil, water (or broth) and spices, mix well.Add in nutritional yeast and vital wheat gluten, mix to combine all the ingredients.Separate the mixture into 5 pieces, roll each piece up in a piece of tinfoil to resemble a regular sausage. Steam for 45 minutes, and serve warm. These taste even better the second day.Serving Size:?Makes 5 sausages
