8 oz Water or Coconut Water
2 cups Kale, Chard or other dark leafy green
1 cup Baby Spinach
2 tablespoons milled flax seed or 1 tbls flax seed oil
5 whole plain almonds (optional)
2-2.5 cups mixed frozen fruit (strawberry, mango, pineapple, peach)
1 large fresh apple, remove stem and cut whole apple core and all in quarters
2 medium fresh bananas
2-3 packets Truvia or 2-3 tablespoons of Agavae Nectar

Here is how you make Original Green Smoothie:

This recipe should make 2.5- 16 oz servings. In a good quality blender, place the water,kale,baby spinach, almonds and the flax seed. Secure the top of the blender and mix approximately 30 - 45 seconds until smooth. Then add the frozen fruits, the fresh apple, and 2 fresh bananas and the Truvia or Agave Nectar and secure the top of the blender and mix again at top speed for another 30 - 45 seconds. There, you are done ! The color of the smoothie can change each day depending on how much of each fruit you put in. Tips: Use quart size ziploc freezer bags once a week to bag up your assorted fruits. I take one from the freezer before bed, and place it in the fridge, so it's ready to go in the morning. I do recommend using fresh bananas because this is what makes the smoothie, nice and creamy! Those just starting to try Green Smoothies may want to use only 3 cups of baby spinach as the green for the first week, then try other greens as you become use to the taste. Kale will remove the most amount of toxins from your body than the other greens, and is generally the least expensive. You can not go wrong drinking these every day. Your digestive system will thank you for it ! Tweak the recipe any way you like, just DO NOT ADD DAIRY OF ANY KIND. This will inhibit the absorption of the iron in the greens and defeat the purpose.
