What Are The Ingredients For Sweet and Sour Seitan Recipe?The ingredients for Sweet and Sour Seitan are: 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil1 large Onion, sweet cut into 1/3 inch half moons 1 large Red bell pepper cut into 1 inch pieces 4 tsp arrowroot powder 2 Tbsp water 2 medium scallion 16 ounces Seitan, slices rinsed, patted dry, cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces 1 cup Pinapple, canned, packed in juice chunks, undrained 1 tablespoon Soy sauce, low sodium 2 teaspoons Apple cider vinegar 2 medium Scallions sliced diagnonally (optional garnish) How Do I Make Sweet and Sour Seitan?Here is how you make Sweet and Sour Seitan: 1) Place oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. 2) Add onion and red pepper; cook until vegetables start to brown, about 3 to 5 minutes. 3) Add seitan and cook for 2 minutes more.4) Add pineapple and 1/2 cup of its juice, soy sauce and vinegar; stir to combine and cook 2 minutes more.5)Mix arrowroot with 2 tablespoons of water in a cup; stir to combine and add to skillet.6) Increase heat to high so mixture boils; cook until sauce has thickened, about 3 minutes. Garnish with scallion and serve. Yields about 1 1/2 cups per serving.
