Semolina/sooji/cream of wheat - 1cup
Water - 2 cups
onion - 1 medium
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
canola oil (or any other cooking oil) - 1tbsp
salt - to taste
chilli powder - you can add or skip, depending on how much heat you can take. Depending on what curry paste you are using, it will also contain chilli.

Any Thai red curry/ green curry seasoning powder - 1tsp


How Do I Make Thai style sooji upma!?

Here is how you make Thai style sooji upma!:

On on pan, roast the sooji till it turns golden brown. Make sure you stir often because it can easily get burnt. Turn off the stove.In another pan, add oil. Let it heat up and then add cumin & mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onion. Stir well till they turn golden. Now add salt and chilli powder and mix well. Let it cook for a minute and then add water. Stir. Once it starts boiling a little, add the roasted semolina. Make sure you keep stirring, to avoid any lumps. In 30 secs or so, you will see the semolina soaks the water. Keep stirring.. 1 more minute.. and its done. -----Garnish/ extra additions------Some people garnish with cilantro and lime juice. Also, some people add peas/carrots etc with th onions, to get some more veggies in there. It depends on your taste, and what you have at home! -- This is my first recipe posted.
