What Are The Ingredients For Citrusy Broiled Tofu Recipe? The ingredients for Citrusy Broiled Tofu are: 1 block of Nasoya Lite Firm tofu1 cup Orange juice 3 tbl Tamari 1 tbl Toasted Sesame oil How Do I Make Citrusy Broiled Tofu? Here is how you make Citrusy Broiled Tofu: Move your oven rack to the top slot and preheat your broiler.1. Freeze the block of tofu at least 24 hours. Defrost before pressing. This gives the tofu a chewier texture but is not neccessary. You can use regular tofu that hasn't been frozen if you prefer.2. Wrap the tofu block in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel with several layers. Press the tofu. The way I do this is by putting the towel wrapped tofu on a cutting board and putting a cake pan on top weighted down with as many canned food items as I can fit. There isn't a magic time for the tofu to press, you just want to get most to all of the water out as it helps the tofu absorb the marinade. I estimate about 30 minutes.3. While the tofu is pressing, make the marinade by whisking together all the other ingredients into a large bowl.4. Cut the tofu into triangles thusly: cut in half lengthwise, then in half widthwise to get four squares. Cut the tofu diagonally through both sets of squares to create triangles. If you don't like the tofu thick, start by cutting it in half through the thickness and then into triangles.5. Drop the tofu gently into the marinade. Leave for a few minutes while you get the cookie sheet ready, moving the tofu around to make sure all the pieces have gotten covered.6. Lightly spray a cooking sheet with oil or a non-stick spray. Using some aluminum foil will make clean up easier.7. Arrange the tofu triangles on the sheet so that they are not touching.8. Put the tofu in the oven for 8 minutes.9. Flip the tofu pieces over and spoon over more of the marinade. Return to broiler for 2 minutes.10. Flip the tofu over one last time and pour the remaining marinade over the top. Return to broiler for 2 minutes or until they reach the level of brownness you like. Remove from oven and cool.I serve this over Jasmine rice.Number of Servings: 2Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user EATMYVEGGIES.What's The Nutritional Info For Citrusy Broiled Tofu? The nutritional information for Citrusy Broiled Tofu is:
