Here is how you make KM Ma-Po Tofu, Vegetarian:

Cut bean curd into 1/2 inch cubes and steam or boil.Heat oil and garlic in wok (and chili peppers if using them). Add vegetables if desired. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Add miso, soy sauce, sherry, soup stock, salt and bean curd. Boil for 3 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch paste.
