take the beans and place in crock pot (not turned on!) and fill with water until the water is about 3 times the amount of beans... let sit overnight. in the morning, drain water off of beans and rinse. put back in crock pot and fill with water about 1-3 inches above the beans. cut up onion, pepper and bacon and add to crock pot along with the spices, put the lid on and turn the crock pot on high. let cook until dinner time.Serving Size: 8-10 - 1 cup servingsNumber of Servings: 8Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user ES961411.
