3/4 cup hot milk
2 TBSP butter
1/2 tsp salt
2TBSP sugar

How Do I Make Easter Paska Bread?

Here is how you make Easter Paska Bread:

Dissolve yeast, warm water, & 3/4 tsp sugar in a bowl & let stand. Warm milk & butter in microwave for 20 seconds until 120 degrees. Add salt & rest of sugar. Let cool to room temperature then add egg & yeast mixture. Mix in 1 cup flour at a time until dough is no longer wet. Knead dough for 10 minutes. Oil dough and let rise in a bowl for 2-2.5 hours. When dough is doubled in size. Knead down for 5 minutes and place in greased large round pyrex glass. Allow dough to rise again for 1-1.5 hours until dough doubles again. Once risen. Gently place slits in top of bread. Cover with egg wash for nice golden brown crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Bread should sound hollow when tapped.
