2 quarts Low Sodium Chicken Broth
2 tbsp Poultry seasoning
1 tbsp Parsley
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 Bay Leaf
1 quart hot water
1 package (7oz) McLib?s Southern Dumplings
1 cup 2% Milk
1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
1 tsp Nutmeg

Here is how you make Chicken and Dumplings, Reduced Fat and Sodium:

Place the chicken breasts, herbs and spices (except nutmeg) in a 6 quart dutch oven. Add broth and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Once the broth begins to boil, turn the heat down to medium low, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, until cooked through. Remove chicken from broth and set aside until cool enough to be shredded. Once chicken has been shredded, add the hot water, turn heat up to high until broth begins to boil, then reduce to medium high and begin dropping dumplings into boiling broth. You can break them into smaller pieces if preferred. Stir after each addition to keep them separated. Continue boiling for 5 minutes.While dumplings are boiling, whisk together flour, milk and nutmeg until smooth. Add to dumplings and stir well. Add the shredded chicken back to the pot and stir to combine. Cover, remove from heat, and allow to stand for 20-30 minutes before serving. Serving Size:?Makes 5 quarts or 20 1-cup servings
