3 lbs of hamburger meat
1 can red kidney beans
4 cans stewed tomatoes
1 large onion

How Do I Make Family Chili?

Here is how you make Family Chili:

Brown the hamburger meat. Rinse off the grease and drain well. Put in the crock pot/slow cooker on low. Drain the can of kidney beans and add it to the pot as well. Don't forget to chop your onion. Then take both of the "Great Value" chili seasoning mix paks and combine them together with one cup of warm water. Pour this mixture into the pot. Add all the other ingredients to the pot. The juice from the cans of tomato will incorporate into the mix and provide plenty of flavor. I rarely have to add any water. Then set the cooker on low, for 6 hours, and relax!!! My family really loves this chili because it has a sweet flavor ,and just the right amount of kick for my husband, while not being too spicy for the kids!!
