1/4 cup Water
1 Bay Leaf
1 clove Garlic, whole
1/2 tsp. Salt or to taste
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Parsley, chopped

Here is how you make Lite Clam Chowder:

Add 1/2 onion cut in wedges, 1/2 whole mini carrots, 1/2 chunks celery, 1 whole garlic clams, clam juice, water, bay leaf and thyme to pan.Bring to a boil, and simmer covered for 45 minutes.Pull out veges, thyme & bay leaf & discard.
