4 (6 1/2 oz) cans chopped or minced clams
2 (8 oz) bottles clam juice
8 thick cut bacon slices
1/2 onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 tbs chopped garlic
2 sprigs fresh tyme
1 lg bayleaf
1 tsp fresh black pepper
2 med potatoes, cubed
4 tbs corn starch
2 c. non fat milk

Here is how you make One Pot White Clam Chowder:

Drain claims, reserve 1/2 c. liquid and mix with corn starch and set aside, add the rest to the clam juice. In large sauce pan put chopped bacon and cook slow and low until crispy, remove bacon and all fat except for 2 tbs. Add celery, onion to bacon fat and cook for 3 min. Then add garlic, tyme, pepper and bayleaf and cook another 3 min. Add clam juice, potatoes,bacon and bring to a boil then simmer until potatoes are tender but not over cooked.
