I adapted this recipe from the Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a Day book. You mix up the dough and then leave it in the fridge and pull off as much dough as you want for each day to make fresh pitas. What Are The Ingredients For Easy Pitas Recipe?The ingredients for Easy Pitas are: 2 cups warm water1 TBLS Yeast 1/2 TBLS Salt 1 TBLS Sugar 4 cups WW flour How Do I Make Easy Pitas?Here is how you make Easy Pitas: Mix Water, Yeast, Salt, and Sugar in a large tuperware and let sit for 5 minutes . Add the flour and mix until all flour has been incorporated (no kneading required). Let rise for 2 hours and then put in the fridge until ready to use.On baking day, preheat oven and baking stone to 500 F. When oven is ready dust the surface of the dough with flour and pull of a small piece of dough about the size of an apricot. Quickly shape into a ball by stretching the dough around itself and creating a gluten cloak using more flour if needed. Flatten into a pita (about 1/4 inch thick) and place in the oven on the preheated stone for 5-7 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
