How Do I Make French Baguette?

Here is how you make French Baguette:

Mix and knead all ingredients together until dough becomes elastic. Cover dough and let rise for 45 minutes. Take out and fold the dough (flatten dough, gently roll the top and bottom towards the center, and then roll the left and right towards the center, place back into bowl). Cover dough and let rise for another 45 minutes. Take out dough and fold. Divide dough into four portions and roll out into loaves. Using a sharp knife, cut slits across the top of the loaves to allow for expansion. Preheat oven to 440 F. Cover dough and let rise for 45 minutes. Place loaves into oven and provide steam in the oven.Bake bread for 25 minutes, or until crust become golden.To provide steam, i place a small cast iron pan in the oven during preheating. When I place the loaves into the oven, I place a cup of water into the cast iron pan.To give the bread a shiny crust, mix 1 egg and 1 tbsp of water together until fully beaten and brush onto crust.
