Here is how you make Margaret's Hummus:

In saucepan, combine oil and garlic over medium heat until garlic is lightly browned. Let cool slightly, reserving both oil and garlic. Place Garbanzo beans (or substitute Great Northern White Beans) in food processor* and add toasted garlic with oil, lemon juice, cumin, black pepper, cayenne pepper (optional), chives and parsley. Process until smooth.*(You can also use an Immersion Blender if you do not have a food processor.)Serve at room temperature with toasted wedges of pita bread, bagel chips or tortilla chips. NOTE: Using White Northern Beans gives a smoother, creamier texture than garbanzo beans.Makes 2 cups - One serving = 1/3 cupWW Points per serving = 3
