1.5 cups warmed milk (I use 1 cup 2% 1/2 cup Skim)
1.5 cups grated swiss cheese

Here is how you make Swiss Cheese and Onion Soup:

1. Melt butter in kettle or Dutch oven. Add onions, garlic, salt and dry mustard and cook over medium heat until the onions are very soft.2. Gradually sprinkle in the flour, stirring constantly, then add the sherry and mix well. Add water & horseradish. Stir and cook for about 5 more minutes.3. Add warm milk and cheese. After adding the cheese, stir constantly with a wooden spoon for a few minutes. Soup should become smooth and well blended.4. Add white pepper to taste and adjust any other seasonings to your liking.
