29 oz can tomato puree
4 tbsp dried basil
2 c chopped celery
2 c chopped carrots
3 c dried lentils
4 bat leaves
16 c water
1 c sliced zucchini
1 c sliced yellow squash
1 med green pepper diced
1 med red pepper diced
2 tbsp grated lemon peel
3 tsp salt
2 sprig fresh dill, minced
1 tsp pepper
4-6 tbsp lemon juice

Here is how you make Lemon Sausage Lentil Soup:

Slice sausage, saute. Add onions & green onions - saute till soft. Add mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, celery, basil. Saute 5 min. Add water. Bring to boil. Add lentils & bay leaves. Simmer covered 30 min. Add zucchini, yellow squash, green & red pepper, lemon peel, salt, pepper, dill. Simmer 30 min or until lentils are tender. Add lemon juice.
