Here is how you make Pinto Stew:

Pour dry beans into colander and pick out any debris. Rinse well and pour into bottom of crock pot. Add enough water to fill pot 2/3 full, cook on low overnight, at least 8-10 hours.The next morning, pour beans into colander and rinse. Pour into soup pot or dutch oven, add chopped vegetables and seasonings along with 2 quarts of water.
