3 tblsp Madras curry powder
2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes
1 beef stock cube
1 tblsp black onion (nigella) seeds
2 tsp garlic granules (or powder)
1 tsp crushed dried chillis (optional)
4 fresh tomatoes, roughly chopped
5 mushrooms, sliced
1 fresh green chilli, finely sliced (optional)

Here is how you make Homecooked Beef Madras:

Serves 4Spray your pan with Frylight and fry the beef cubes and onion until the meat is sealed and the onions are soft. Stir in the curry powder and gently warm it through. Add the tins chopped tomatoes, stock cube, black onion seeds, garlic granules, dried chillis (if using), chopped fresh tomatoes, sliced mushrooms and the fresh chilli (if using).Bring to the boil briefly and turn down to simmer, stirring occasionally until the meat is cooked through. Serve with brown rice.For a milder curry, omit the fresh and dried chillis.
